Away Team Report:
Tom got off to good start getting the shot off my break off but after getting a few, missed the red off the spot which i got my 70 from. Got to 51 but left myself a very difficult cannon. Was pleased to make it but unluckily potted his white in the middle. But, 55 and the century was still on at least .. just 5 hazards later tho the red landed right on the black cushion and was forced to play safe. Right at the end on ‘game shot’ i went for a cannon / fluke on the red needing only 32 but stupidly missed the cannon. Things didn’t land too nice for Tom but i knew i had to be sharp against him and i do like the table now : ) Trevor made an excellent first account of himself with his 30 and 25 before getting half way! Martin did seem to struggle but he really should’ve had that 2nd point. 7-1 lead after 2 games was a shock to us but i maybe put the curse on Clive calling him my star player when Mark was referring to ‘our’ star player lol. It just seemed the more the game went on the more Clive was fighting things every visit to the table. Part of this, to give Mark his credit was due to him potting some unbelievable balls and making a few each time he did! Enjoyable match as always with these boys and well done to Mark for inflicting the first game win on us.
