Away team match report.
Was always a tall order to win 5-1 and nick 2nd from such a good team on the night but it wasn’t for a lack of trying that we just came up short! James struggled in the first against Tom but fate seemed against us in his 2nd after we painfully watched James’ 46pt lead fade away to just 16 after some really horrendous run of the ball.. but for all the bad luck we suffered there wasn’t anything lucky about Mark’s 25c to pinch the frame on the black and with it League Runners Up! So feeling like all was lost against Danny and nothing other than not letting my winning streak go and maybe getting the ‘Most breaks’ - i didn’t feel like i had alot else to play for.. but this alone got me focused enough and i played quite well to finish the season on an unbeaten run of 22. Just a bit annoyed that i twitched twice on the ball for a 25+ lol - so have to settle for joint most with Bunny. Andy of course was in a similar position except he drew the short straw of playing Sean. He summoned something from somewhere tho to effectively win 2 black ball games just to win the first! This mean he kept his ever reliable 50% record over the season, but he hadn’t finished there as next thing you know he’s knocked in a 30 and is 39 up with one red left. A second re-spotted black wasn’t to be tho after Sean’s classy snooker which Andy missed by a mm to hit the blue just behind it. Sean then finished what was a great last frame with a great 35c to win by 1 point. Looking on the bright side, Andy somehow not winning that frame at least meant that James could sleep at night haha! Was a thoroughly entertaining evening during and thereafter too.
