Home Team Report: Walch stuns Wacko!
In an evening that had everything from disputed and refereeing blunders too conflict in the same camp, late night finish and cold pizza! However the night belongs to Walch, after Connors and Harvey hadn't troubled the scores in the opening 4 frames, although it must be said Connors contributed to 3 losses out of the 4 in a roundabout way, it was short odds another bagel was beckoning for the Chertsey no hopers! But hold on Walch had other ideas, with Jacko under par and Walch playing better with the pool cue the unthinkable was on the cards, Yes Walch wins her first frame of the season and happily advised Wacko of that at its climax! Into there second frame and it's déjà vu surely Walch can't double her tally for the season....with two reds left Jacko is 40 behind! He pots the penultimate red and black and lays a snooker, Walch hits the pink from the resulting snooker and leaves a free ball, after taking the free ball colour etc he is now 21 behind on the yellow, Walch pots yellow & green to leave Jackson requiring snookers, however between Walch missing the balls altogether from distance & Jacko unfortunately going in off the frame swayed back-and-forth resulting in an drawn out affair, however after what felt an age Walch fell over the line to gain an unexpected victory over the shell shocked Jackson, although another defeat on paper for the division one bound Chertsey team this was no thanks to Connors messing the scores up, this defeat could have and should have been and honourable draw....hey-ho!
