Away Team Report:
Two solid frames from Kelvin helped us secure a draw.

Andy was ahead throughout the first frame and led by 20 on the blue. However, the pink was in the perfect place for snookers - resting near the side cushion. Anthony duly took advantage and set his trap accordingly. Two escape attempts from Andy both missed but, ultimately, didn't prove costly. Although Anthony got the blue, it was Andy's excellent long pink into the green pocket that set us off and running.

The pink again proved key in the second frame. This time it was tight on the baulk cushion. A burst of fine pots on the colours - including a superb yellow slammed into the middle from an acute angle - gave Anthony momentum. In potting the blue, he tried to move the pink but missed it by a fraction. Andy later left it up and Lightwater levelled the match.

Billy swept me away with a bravura performance of potting and safety play throughout both our frames. I struggled to contain him and could only really chase shadows.

An early break of 20 gave Kelvin the upper hand throughout frame five. Nick could still win on the brown but it was Kelvin's superb half-ball long blue that settled things in our favour.

The closing frame was similar and swung decisively to us after both players rattled the green in the jaws of the yellow pocket. Kelvin potted it at the third attempt.

Ray and his team - joined once more by Fred - made us feel very welcome throughout the evening, which was played in a good spirit. For example, Anthony called a push-shot on himself which wasn't visible to anyone else.
