Away Team Report: The classy Barnard was foot perfect in tonight's clash against Staines, a cracking 70 break that could have been many more with six reds still remaining in his opener was enough to see off Fraser, the second frame was a more hard fought affair but again towards the end a 25 break from Barnard sealed the frame 2-0, the third frame on the evening saw Burgess potting very well, with this & a combination of Connors frustration he soon notched up number 3 for the home side, frame four should have gone the way of the away side but after leading throughout Connors didn't get on the green properly after potting the yellow, he played safe, but as all evening Burgess potted a good green from distance, a very tricky brown followed & the blue which was also very miss able held no fear, he slid that in & with the pink & black unmissable Burgess cleared with 25 & the home side took a 4 nil lead, due to a misunderstanding between the home side players unfortunately Walch & Gibbs could only play one of there scheduled two frames, this turned in to a nail bitter after Walch led by thirty plus at halfway Gibbs battled his way back into contention, the frame came down to who ever potted the pink as the black was in the jaws of the green pocket, Gibbs had a half chance first but missed leaving Walch a fine cut to the black pocket, she steadied herself potted a good pink & rolled the black in, as previously stated their second frame wasn't played as Walton sportingly forfeited.
As always an enjoyable evening with a good bunch of guys, many thanks chaps....Oh just one more thing, Craig don't forget you have a doctors appointment 9oc tomorrow morning !!!!!
