Home Team Report: In match 1 Dan was very sharp early on and quickly established a substantial lead which John valiantly tried to close but he could not quite get on terms. In the second frame Dan took the lead again with a nice 32 break but this time John stayed on his tail and eventually went past him and looked all over the winner until he unfortunately fouled on the pink leaving Dan to clear up. In match 2 I played Nick D and he was sharp and potting well and I thought the writing was on the wall, unexpectedly his luck deserted him and I was the beneficiary of some very unfortunate fouls. I still needed them all from the brown to win and potted well up to the black and left Nick a tricky pot, unfortunately he went in off and left me the winner by 1 point. In frame 2 he was potting well but keeping me in the frame with some unlucky run and this time I needed from the blue to win but I couldn`t pot them this time and Nick ran out the deserved winner. In match 3, poor Nick could not stop leaving Mark on, again with some very unlucky run, Mark potted well to win the frame. In the second, again Nick`s luck was out and was always chasing but he laid some superb snookers towards the end and nearly won but Mark potted a couple of very good pots to stumble over the line (nearly going in off the final black). I must say at this point that the Woking team were extremely sporting even when the run was going badly against them and always played with a smile on their face, credit to them. As usual a good bit of banter ensued after the match and it was a great evening, I would just advise the Woking team not to buy any lottery tickets this week the way that their luck is running. Once again thanks for a really enjoyable evening.
