Well as debuts go Richard Piner made his byfleet league one to remember. Never looking like being able to hit a ball in practice, he stepped up to the mark and started slowly. With a few shonky shots and frustration setting in he the dually knocked in a red from the lampshade to knock the black into position and split the remaining reds. This enabled him to cleare up with our teams highest Break of the season with 65. As a team we were made up for him, but then Ian realised he had just been beaten with his young cousins effort..
Steve came back well to beat me as had no luck but produced a clinical 32 to put a strangle hold on the 2nd frame.
Ian played reasonably well with Lol also missing chances but produced the good in the 3rd to win, but Lol played much the same tight game and nearly won the second only for the clearance from brown with all 3 pots to black from distance made to look easy. Ian poached the black after being left over the pocket.
Matt caught Tony in some form for the 5th frame, but both had plenty of chances in a long game, but Tony somewhat lost his way in the 6th and Matt took charge for the win. Another great night with the New Haw gang and heres to their survival for next year!!
