Billiards Season 2026

Due to holiday commitments this match due to be played on 25th November was brought forward because we both had byes.

In the opener Mark played Paul Jackson and was a very evenly matched affair. Both frames came down to the final three balls with Paul being very unlucky in both frames and Mark potting some fine frame balls to take the spoils.

In the second match I bit the bullet again and took on a very solid Mark Leonard. Although the frame scores look like I got a good hammering, I thought I played fairly well rattling some long range efforts in the jaws and leaving Mark good opportunities which he duly converted. I did have to help Mark after the game with his screw shot as he kept leaving his position short and I hope this improves his game!

In the final match two old junior rivals locked horns and with the first frame in the balance Dan took the game with some superb pots towards the end. In the second again it was very close eventually coming down to a re-spotted black, Dan won the toss and put Paul into bat. We were all expecting a good safety but Paul decided to have a go at the double, bang straight in the top pocket without touching the sides.

It was great for us to experience the sweet smell of success after last weeks game.

After the match we had a good old gossip and with Paul G there was a lot of good natured banter enjoyed by all. Once again thanks for a great evening.
